I'm gonna be stashing my roleplays here, along with a link and brief synopsis of each, so if you don't feel like ready each role play but want to keep up with the story, you can use this thread as a Cliff Notes. As always, feedback and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.
1. Meet Walter Hobbs (Walter Hobbs, a mild-mannered former junior varsity wrestling coach, and his wife Lana, approach shady wrestling manager Mickey Conway seeking representation for Walter. Mickey comes to learn of Lana's ulterior motives for supporting her putz of a husband's entry into the dangerous sport).
2. Nuts and Handcuffs (Mickey Conway shares with Walter the news that he has secured his new protege a shot at a pro contract. An excited Walt shares the news with Lana, almost catching her in her adulterous act along the way).
3. War Master (Walter receives a new nickname, impresses a promoter, earns a contract, and gets an unfortunate tattoo that results in a change of his nickname).
4. New Walt Order (Mickey Conway signs Walt and Amarillo Nash to a contract with Engage).
5. The Perils of Social Media (Walt finds himself in hot water when Lana fires back on the Engage Social Timeline against Voidstar)
6. Thirsty (Walt recovers from his blackout following news of his challenging debut match).
7. The Other Side of the Closet (Lana convinces with Amarillo Nash to befriend Walt as part of a larger plot to bring down his demise)
I'm a fan of pretty much every character you create. Even at the beginning if I'm unsure, or think "hmmm, this one could be a bust," you go and prove me wrong 100% of the time. Walter is no different. I love this story and just the basic idea behind it. I believe it. I can see it unfold with every word I read. This could well be a movie and it's one Will Ferrell himself would be perfect for.
It makes me laugh, it makes me look forward to the next piece and it makes me root for him as a viewer. I love an underdog - an increasingly rare presence in this hobby.
You know that I love pretty much all of your characters lol, and Walter is just another to add to that. He's endearing and despite his lack of experience I'm really rooting for him to do well and prove his bitch of a wife wrong! Haha. There's a villain, as all good stories should have and I'm loving her conniving nature. I'm also really enjoying Mickey Conway and the hint that he's not quite comfortable with the whole situation. I'm sure this story is going to an incredible place and I'll be following along keenly
