FADE IN:
EXT. MACK-CALI CORPORATE PLAZA - PARKING LOT - AFTERNOON
We open in the parking lot of the Mack-Cali Corporate Plaza, located in the serene suburbs of Paramus, New Jersey.
CUT TO:
INT. MACK-CALI CORPORATE PLAZA - CONWAY MANAGEMENT, LLC - RECEPTION AREA - CONTINUOUS
Two men-- two very, very different men, sit next to one another in the reception area. The first man is AMARILLO SLIM.
Donning a black leather biker getup, his feet are propped up on the coffee table. Through dark shades, he soaks in LUCY, Mickey Conway's tattooed eye-candy / receptionist. He does so without a hint of self-consciousness.
Seated next to him is WALTER HOBBS.
He's wearing a tuxedo, thumbing through a copy of Cosmopolitan, simply to pass the time.
There is no interaction between the two.
The buzzer goes off on Lucy's desk.

MICKEY CONWAY (O.S.)
(through the intercom)
Send them in.
LUCY
(into the intercom)
Both of them?
MICKEY CONWAY (O.S.)
(through the intercom)
Yes, both of them.
LUCY
(into the intercom)
Oh. Okay.
(into the intercom)
That's weird.
LUCY

MICKEY CONWAY (O.S.)
(through the intercom)
Yes, both of them.
LUCY
(into the intercom)
Oh. Okay.
Beat.

MICKEY CONWAY (O.S.)
(through the intercom)
Just do it.
Lucy rolls her eyes and turns her attention to the mismatch seated in the reception area.
Walt turns to Amarillo, then to Lucy, then back to Amarillo. He's confused. He points to himself, and then to Amarillo, trying to figure out who Lucy is talking to.
Amarillo has already risen and taken the initiative toward Mickey's door.
Amarillo stares at the awkward Walt, who holds his hand out toward the open doorway.
Amarillo enters. Walt follows.
INT. MICKEY'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS
The two enter. Mickey is standing behind his desk, his arms wide open.
Walt and Amarillo take the seats next to each other, opposite Mickey's desk.
Walt does an awkward fist pump. He turns to Amarillo.
Nash just stares at him.
Walt extends his hand. Nash just continues to stare through his shades. Eventually, Walt withdraws his hand.
Walt's eyes light up.
Amarillo's silent stare is making Walt uncomfortable.
Amarillo rises, and without a further word, turns and exits the room.
Walt looks to Mickey.
FADE TO BLACK
LUCY
Mickey's ready for you.

LUCY
Both of you.
Walt rises from his chair and double steps to catch up with Amarillo. They both arrive at the door at the same time. Amarillo stares at the awkward Walt, who holds his hand out toward the open doorway.
WALT
After you.

MICKEY
Gentlemen. Welcome. Have a seat, please.
Walt and Amarillo take the seats next to each other, opposite Mickey's desk.
MICKEY
Thanks for coming in. I have some
good news. First, Walt, you're all
set for your debut match in RSW.
WALT
Yes!
Walt does an awkward fist pump. He turns to Amarillo.
WALT
I'm a wrestler.
Nash just stares at him.
MICKEY
Amarillo here is a wrestler as well,
Walt. Walt Hobbs, meet Amarillo Nash.
WALT
You're a wrestler too? Well how do you
like that? Just a couple of wrestlers
shooting the breeze, talking shop.
Walt extends his hand. Nash just continues to stare through his shades. Eventually, Walt withdraws his hand.
MICKEY
In fact, Amarillo here has just signed
to Conway Management, and I'm pleased
to announce that I've just signed the
two of you as a package deal with Engage
Wrestling, which is located in Hollywood.
Walt's eyes light up.
WALT
Wow. This is big news. Huge news. We're
stablemates. We could be a clique. Heck,
we could be a posse. Hobbs and Nash.
Amarillo's silent stare is making Walt uncomfortable.
WALT
Or Nash and Hobbs. That works too.
MICKEY
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Walt.
Sunday night, there will be a signing.
I mean, the deal's done, but this will
be something ceremonial, in ring, give
the fans a chance to get a look at you.
WALT
Well I for one think this is the beginning
of something big. My confidence is through
the roof right now. We can have each other's
backs. We can train together. Amarillo, I
could show you some of the techniques that
I teach the kids over on the Bound Brook
junior varsity squad, and whatever you can
pass on to me, I tell you, I'm like a sponge.
AMARILLO
Are we done here?
MICKEY
Yeah. That's it.
Walt looks to Mickey.
WALT
I think we hit it off. I could
feel the bond. Maybe I should
get myself some black leather.
