CONTEXT: Members of the press have been invited to attend this pre-fight press conference, looking ahead ahead to the Engage 3: Hell-Bent For Leather event. They're out to get the opinions of the fighters involved and see how they're feeling ahead of their matches, as well as discuss the events that unfolded at Engage 2: Round Two! Fight!

Well I'm feeling on a cloud, sailing higher and higher through this company. Delighted, over the moon, I feel so positive after advancing to the final because I proved that everyone who plucked Lara as the winner and put her in the finals before I even had a chance to step in the ring got shocked. And Caite was one of those people. It felt great to slap a doubter in front of the fans.

I listened to my coach, I studied my opponent and it all paid off. Lara's good, but Ernie Parker is one of the legendary Dons, the best of the four. His work helped me be ready, anticipate my opponent and work out a way to counter it. Lara tried her best to make me tap out. She gave me my best match in Engage and made me work for this finals spot. That is why it feels so much better to stand here the 1st girl to make it to the finals and the first girl to win a title here in Engage.

I could say no, since it worked out great for me. No Derek. I walked out the finalist because I believe this week was all about preparing for Lara Chambers. Learning from a legend and putting the study to the mat. Not a damn thing I'd change

Of course. The big win Georgia got over our champion Dick. I'd expect the champ to be able to win non-title matches, but! in Dick's defense, that leak of the Ugly Truth did give us a little insight to Georgia. She gets the Aqua Drop deal and beats our Fusion X Champion in the same night? That is too surprising for me.

I'm celebrating! I won a big match and I'm living it up tonight because tomorrow and the days coming are all important. I'm not going to be wasting the daylight.

And yes, before you ask, I'll be behaving myself. Non-alcoholic beverages for me. I've got a title to win next week. Like I said, I won't be wasting daylight.

It would fully silence all of the Trixie haters in the fanbase and on the roster. Winning the title would be huge for me personally here. Aqua Drop would have missed out on a huge deal, but apart from showing people up for stupid opinions and decisions they have and make, it validates me. I came to Engage to be famous. Being champion is that level of fame only a few get. It will be mine, and no bird is going to stop me from engraving my name in that gold.

Unlike my opponent, I actually picked her for the finals in the last press conference. And that makes Trixie right and Caite wrong. I'm not surprised at all to face her but I know when I pinned Lara in the ring, Caite's jaw was left open. Caite wasn't my favourite, but I beat hers.

The feel of Caite's cheek in my hand when I slapped her into reality. I personally take that as payback for her awful and incorrect comments. Apart from that, I take this Ugly Truth's warning rather personally. Since he or she called out to me, warning me of Georgia coming for my world title. He or she didn't warn Caite.

"Orson, right now, I'm not feeling anything. They have me sedated pretty good. In fact, let me take the opportunity to say that for anyone listening out there, if you find yourself with a screw from a cage or gate lodged in your forehead, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in downtown Los Angeles is the place to be. Their expert staff will take care of you and have you feeling nothing!

As far as what wen right and wrong, I was close, Orson. I have to say, for my first cage match ever, my first multiple opponent fight ever, I think I held my own. Yeah, I have a lot of kinks to get out, and maybe it's just the pain meds talking, but I felt I belong after tonight-- like a pledge whose just been paddled on hell night, but is now part of the group! What an initiation!"

"Yes. I would have signaled for someone to open the door to the cage before I went through it head first. Not only do I think that an opened door at that moment would have made all the difference in the world in the outcome of the match, but it would have hurt a hell of a lot less. "

I was disappointed about Aqua Drops. I really thought I landed it. But you know what? Where one door closes, another opens-- except in my case, where one door not opening led to another door opening. Turns out, following my performance, Mickey is in negotiations with pharmaceutical company Novartis for me to be a spokesman for their new over-the-counter headache medicine.  They're even thinking about calling it Waltrin. Got a headache? Take two Waltrin-- you can even wash them down with Aqua Drop!

Well, assuming I get released, tomorrow is a family day. Uh huh. Having a barbecue over at the old homestead to celebrate the day of our independence. Lana told me to invite Amarillo over, so maybe after we grill up some burgers and shoot off some fireworks, will talk shop.

I remember from my days in little league, being in the on deck circle, taking practice swings with three bats in my hand. When I got up to the plate with one bat, it felt so much lighter. I gotta believe that as tough as Varsity Van is, having survived what I've survived tonight has given me a tremendous amout of confidence.

Orson, I would hardly call my opinion an "expert" opinion. I don't know enough about the other competitors; but I will say this, look for Amarillo Nash to advance, as iron sharpens iron, and I will be the iron that sharpens his iron, while simultaneously being sharpened by his iron.

Erica, I've just an ordinary guy. I've got no skeletons in my closet. To be honest, sometimes I wish I did have some skeletons in my closet, some evidence that I've lived a more adventurous, filling life. Strike that-- Lana, I love you, I regret nothing!

On a personal level, the one thing that I will take away with me from tonight's show is the screw that was displaced from the cage door and lodged in my head. Definitely the screw. You want to know how I'm feeling? Since I walked in the doors of Engage, fool after fool has made the mistake of disrespecting me, either behind closed doors, or, in the case of that little blond bimbo down the other end of the table, right to my face. Every one of them, her excepted, has paid for that disrespect with my knee meeting their face. Both Keegan and Lex are better combat sports athletes than she is, and the outcome for her, with so much on the line for me, is going to be bloody grave. Done bit off far more than she can chew, and judging by the speed she with which she ran after she did it, it's a damn sure sight that Miss Trixie knows it to, despite whatever bravado or airs she wants to put on here and now. I've done exactly what I've said I'm going to do since day one, and next week won't be any different.

Look, there are all sorts of different fighters in the world. Me, I trust my instincts. Now, that doesn't make me unique in and of itself... lots of fighters listen to their instincts. But most only know how to do it when they're in trouble. That's the big difference. For eight years, I've given myself over to my instincts, and the results have been incredible. Might not really seem like much right now, because I've also been a physical mismatch to both of my opponents here in Engage so far, just like I will be next week. But listening to my instincts, fully and completely, has always served me well. Why would I change anything about that now?

That having been said... Trixie's instincts served her well tonight as well. Because that first instinct she had after she put her hand on me? That instinct to run away, as fast as she could? That instinct was true, and it likely saved her a savage beating... or postponed it for seven nights, anyway.

Clearly, I didn't think that the little minx had it in her, and I haven't been shy about saying as much since I walked in the door. Chambers would have been a fight... a fight that I'm not afraid to admit I would not have been able to say as an absolute sure thing that I could have won... and that's a beautiful thing. It would have been a beautiful thing, that is... for me, for her, and for all of the fans of combat sports out there.

That's not going to happen though.

But listen to me carefully, Trixie: I've beat all my opponents here in Engage. I didn't have any easy fights in that mix, either. I outmatched them both, and I beat them both... and I out match you more than I did either of them. There is no trick that old man can teach you in a week that's going to be enough. You got lucky... but your luck has run out. The stakes, for me personally and for Engage as a company, are just too high. I meant what I said about Engage's first World Champion setting the tone for what sort of company it's going to be, and I intend to make sure this is a combat athletics promotion, first and foremost.

That means putting you down.

Same as always. I work on me. There's a reason I can talk about being a better athlete then most opponents I face off against, and it's because I work harder them most of them. This week won't be any different. I'm in the physical shape I'm in because I know what works, and because I have a dedication and devotion to the sport that I love, the sport that has given me everything I have. It's something that a tourist... albeit a very lucky tourist up until now... will never understand.

Furthermore, I didn't simply call Trixie out right out of the gate because I had some personal issue with her... I called her out because I could see the glaring wide holes in her game. I know EXACTLY how to beat Trixie. I've known EXACTLY how to beat that girl since she walked in the door. The surprise isn't that she got this far, but more that no one else could apparently see what I see. But trust me, I won't fail to use her many weaknesses against her.

Trixie can say that she's going to beat me all she wants, and probably be pretty entertaining to watch as she does so, as she has been here tonight... but, I OPENLY CHALLENGE her to explain, in terms that any fight fan can understand, just HOW she thinks she can actually do it.

Nevermind what it would mean to me, although it'd mean plenty. The question you should be asking yourself is what it will mean to Engage. This is, quite literally, a battle for the soul and the future of this company. I shit you not. If I am the first Engage World Champion, it will attract a certain type of warrior to this company... and if Trixie is it's first champion, this company will attract something else altogether. My first fight in Engage showed what happens when you pit an ultraviolent extremist against another of the same ilk. My second was a classic striker Vs. grappler match-up. Now, in my third, we're literally witnessing Sports Entertainment Vs. Professional Wrestling... with the future of this company hanging in the balance.

It's not a responsibility I take lightly.

"In regards to my fight I feel fantastic. I went out there and showed all of those people who backed Dick just what I could do; I think from now on people will be less likely to dismiss me. In regards to what happened immediately after, I just want to set the record straight. That picture caught nothing more than me greeting Patrick with a platonic kiss on the cheek and anyone who looks at that picture and sees anything else has a sinister mind. I don't know the motive behind the mystery persons actions but they should know that they haven't rattled me; I take no notice of someone trying to bring me down with ridiculously false claims."

"Not at all, I'm happy with how I performed tonight. My body is going to ache in the morning, there's no doubt about that, but I used my in ring ability to come out with a win on my debut and I'm proud of that.

"Very confident. I believe I have what it takes to knock Lara out of this. She just lost to Trixie, who's style is quite similar to my own, except I do it better. I know it'll be an intense fight, but I'm confident it'll be me progressing through."

"Of course I'm backing myself, and that's the only one I'm focusing on right now. All I'll say to the others is good luck."

"Earlier, I'd have probably said Trixie, but after her comments just now from that end of the table about my win and the Aqua Drop contract being 'too surprising', I'm saying Caite. I think she's unhappy that she made a mistake that lost her the contract so now would love for my name to be tarnished like hers was. She might want to sully my win by insinuating that Patrick played a part in it - how that would be is a mystery considering he was no where near the ring - but she was the one who had help ringside. It comes down to true talent and I believe Caite is the one who has that."

The Power League Qualifying matches are big matches. What I have coming up is a nuisance. An annoyance. An inconvenient stepping stone to a “big match” down the road somewhere in the future. This is the SECOND TIME that I’ve been reduced to a bit part role in a Fresh Television production and I’m NOT amused! You don’t take steak and serve it with dollar store burger sauce. Oh God! Looking at the qualifying fights for the Power League, my expert opinion is telling me that nobody in corporate has an expert opinion. If they did, I’d be featuring in this little tete-a-tete, instead of being forced to face two opponents who speak like they were educated in Guam.

Claudia, just looking at you makes me believe with all my heart that you’ll understand this analogy I’m about to throw at you. Do you have beautiful friends? I’m certain that you do. Well the reason you have those beautiful friends is because they use you to stand next to them in bars to look even more stunning by comparison. If they’re feeling a little bloated? Hey, let’s just call Claudia. Let’s just call pale, frumpy Claudia. She won’t be doing anything. She won’t have any plans because, I mean, look at her, right? That’s how I’ll stand out in my match. I look like me, Christian Valentine looks like by being here, a village in Nebraska is missing an idiot, and Dani? Well just look at her down there. Be honest! None of you knew whether she was here to answer questions, clean this conference hall or rob you! Admit it! Providing those two don’t drive fans in their droves to the bathroom stalls, I’m confident that I can deliver an Oscar winning… and therefore match winning… performance. Thank you. I couldn’t BEAR the thought of being employed by a company headlined by a Champion who looks, smells and sounds like Caite Blackbird does.
