Hey all,
So following on from my Clarification post last night, I have some updates that are pretty unavoidable. I’ll be brief here.
1. Voidstar has left the fed, simply because he feels that he cannot commit the necessary time to thrive here. He feels the schedule is too intense for his free time and for that reason is backing out. Full respect to him for his honesty and huge gratitude for playing here.
2. Isaac Tarver and Beau Addison have both pulled out of the fed further to my own comments about how I feel about running the place. They feel that closure is an inevitability (which is a completely rational and logical feeling to have) so don’t want to put any more effort into something that will ultimately be for nothing.
3. Also following my own comments and for the same reasons listed in point 2, Andy is going to pull out of the fed also. This means Amarillo Nash will no longer be part of the roster and the fed no longer has a dedicated match writer for events. Andy’s decision to leave is by no means his “fault” by the way. He’s basing his decision entirely on my own comments and feelings about the fed, and he’s right to do that. I fully agree with him and think he’s doing the right thing.
4. We’re not far away from the 24-hour deadline and there’s still 11 no shows so far. That’s unheard of in one of my feds and - when combined with the drought in activity in every other area of the fed - tells me all I need to know about the commitment that people have for this place. It’s just not there, and why should it be? The fed head is only committed when there’s a solid group of people who are too. I’m not here regardless. I’m here until the heart is gone and then I’m out. For better or worse, that’s always been my attitude because this is only a game to me. I don’t take it seriously.
So with those factors in mind, we’re going to just call time on it. If any of you want to continue roleplaying together in a micro fed that shares (virtually all the same) features as this one and any of my previous feds, then please do check out thersw.proboards.com, Trevor’s fed. You’ll be treated well and Scott is already there, so I’m sure he’ll vouch for the place.
I hope to catch up with you down the road at some point, although I’m not sure when - or even if - that will be, simply because I’m definitely done with the game. I’m not on Twitter in any capacity and I’m going to use this newfound free time to take on more clients and just spend more time with friends and family.
